After a short business meeting, I presented for about an hour, using a PowerPoint with pictures of quilts I no longer own, and told a lot of stories about my progression from "Beige Woman" who arrived at a bargello workshop not knowing how to use a rotary cutter and ruler, to my current colorful quilting self. I enjoyed telling stories of the quilts I had made and given away. In the photo above, I was showing a picture of my granddaughter, Lily, with her Lilybug quilt.Between the slide show and looking at the quilts that I brought for show-and-tell, an hour passed very quickly. I invited people to see the product samples I had brought along, and take a closer look at the quilts. Then, I was swarmed!
Yes, I am in the above picture somewhere. I think I see a shoulder...
If any of my new friends at the Piedmont Guild are viewing my blog for the first time, thanks so much for having me! Please drop me an e-mail if you have any questions for me.
Thank you, Katy, for coming with me, taking pictures, and staying up way past your bedtime with me when we got home and my adrenaline was pumping! You are the best!
