In My Next Life I want to be an Anheuser-Busch Clydesdale

Our first stop in St. Louis after checking in was a trip to the Anheuser-Busch brewery.  Unbelievable!  Here is one of the Clydesdales in the corral at the entrance to the stables.

He looked pretty mellow...maybe breathing in all those hops fumes?

They have pretty nice digs right there at the brewery.  Here is the entrance with its horsey sculpture on the wall:

its vaulted roof and entry chandelier:

and the main stable room with gold eagle chandelier and stained glass windows:

Here are some of the wooden stables:

and even the Dalmatians have pretty nice digs.

The rest of the tour showed that old Augustus Busch had splendid taste in architecture and furnishings.  Here is the very tall Michelob brewing room with iron rail work and two-story chandelier.

Is this a factory or a cruise ship?  Maybe the Titanic?

And this playful fox lifted from Grimm's fairy tales sits on a corner of the brew house

And here is a little bit of delightful quiltiness at the hotel where we stayed, the Renaissance Grand downtown.

There were a series of these behind the reception desk.

And at my final stop, the Wells Fargo Advisors training building,

there was a series of quilt-like art pieces decorating the entrance.

I give St. Louis kudos for its public and private art displays.  More tomorrow!
